It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Mae Nero of Cedar Falls, Iowa, born in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, who passed away on October 2, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Gauger and Florence Gauger (McIntosh); her husband John Nero; and her sisters, Kathryn Sutton and Virginia Williams.
She is survived by: her children, Thomas Nero (Terri) of Smithville, Missouri and Kathleen Grauerholz (Gary) of Cedar Falls; her grandchildren, Jana Morgan (Rick), Wade Grauerholz (Jayna), John Nero (Sherry) and Mary Nero; and her great grandchildren, Claire, Kellan Morgan, Aubrey, Avery, Gavin, Logan Grauerholz and Elliott Nero.
Memorials may be directed to the John Nero Scholarship at the Cedar Falls Community Foundation, St. John Lutheran Church, or to Cedar Valley Hospice.
