Donald McGinnis Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald McGinnis of Cedar Falls, Iowa, who passed away on February 27, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Donald's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Donald has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil McGinnis and Mabel McGinnis (DeGraw); and his in-laws, Dr. A. N. and Frances M. Thoms (Schultze). He is survived by: his wife Louise Anne Thoms of Cedar Falls; and his sons, Daniel (Jan), Michael (Eileen), Steven (Cindy) and Randal McGinnis (Beth). He is also survived by ten grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Richardson Funeral Service (615 Main St, Cedar Falls, IA 50613). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Riverview Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made in Don's name to a charity of the donor's choice.
