He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Fairbanks and Thelma Fairbanks (Dabney); his wife Jean L. Clark; his son Douglas Fairbanks; and his siblings, Verlin Fairbanks and Charlotte Shepherd.
He is survived by: his sons, Craig Fairbanks (Nancy) of Cedar Falls and Mark Fairbanks (Jana) of Waterloo; and his grandchildren, Brock Fairbanks (Katrina), Laura Kockelkorn (Peter), Jeff Hawk (Karrie), Wesley Fairbanks (Lori), Madison Fairbanks, Marshall Abbe and Jordan Abbe. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Donald C. "Don" Fairbanks, 91, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, January 13, 2023, at UnityPoint Health Allen Hospital from Alzheimer's Disease.
