He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lies and Viola Lies (Ackerman); and his son Scott Lies. He is survived by: his wife Cameon Latusick; his son Jeremy Lies (Tammy) of Cedar Falls; his stepchildren, Chelsea Thompson (Arnold) of Waterloo and Shawn Rice of Cedar Falls; his grandchildren, Austin Meyers, Scott Lies, Ashley Lies and Maggie Lies; his stepgrandchildren, Jaydn Ramsay, Gabriel Thompson and Novalie Thompson; and his sister Diana Mingus (Dennis) of Evansdale.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at 2615 Washington St, Waterloo, IA 50702.
