Diane Baum Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 3, 2021, at the age of 89, Diane Baum of Cedar Falls, Iowa, born in Spencer, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her brother Donald Sorenson; her great-nephew Jabriel Sorenson; and her close friend Augusta Schurrer. She is survived by: her daughter Blanche Sorenson (Brunais); her former spouse Dale Baum; and her nieces and nephews, Kristine Pigman (Garry) of Surprise, AZ, Linda Herberth (Michael) of Oregon, Danica Sorenson of Seal Beach, CA and Randy Sorenson of Iowa. She is also survived by many great-nieces and nephews as well as many friends.
Memorials may be directed to the UNI Foundations specifying the Diane Baum Endowed Scholarship (for pre-service elementary teachers) or the Diane Baum Math Endowment (for program support).
