He is survived by: his wife Ann Marie "Annie" Henderson of Cedar Falls; his children, Shannon Nelson (Rebecca) of Olathe, KS and Chelsie Nelson of Cedar Falls; his grandchildren, Joshua Nelson (Gracie) of Gardner, KS, Caleb Nelson of Olathe, KS, Emmaly Nelson of Olathe, KS, Shae Avant of Wichita, KS, Wyatt and Braylynn; and his sister Michelle Nelson-Aman of Kewanee, IL..
