It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dennis Acklin of Cedar Falls, Iowa, born in Newton, Iowa, who passed away on April 12, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Loyd Acklin and Dorothy Acklin (Ridgeway); his daughter Debbie Acklin; his siblings, Jim Acklin and Barbara Scoles; and his nephews, James and Tony Acklin.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Mathes; his daughter Vicki Davis (Dave) of Cedar Falls; his siblings, Gary Acklin of Harvey, IA and Julie Acklin of Mesa, AZ; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Nate, Isabella Davis of Duluth, MN, Samantha and Max Hanson of Cedar Falls; and his sister-in-law Donna Acklin.
