She was predeceased by: her father Bob Nieman; her husband Ray James; and her grandparents, Abel, Eva Nieman, Beryl and Lena Johnson.

She is survived by: her mother Pat Nieman (Johnson) of New Hartford; her children, April Balk of New Hartford and Joshua James of Cedar Falls; her grandchildren, Austen, Adreana, Alexis and Alec; and her sisters, Danette Elder (James) of Freeport, Illinois and Devona Johnson (Jaime) of Fort Worth, Texas..
