He is survived by: his wife Rita R Root; his children, Bill Root (Julie) of Tripoli, IA, Julie Ann Root of Tripoli, IA, David Root (RaeJean) of New Hampton and MaryJo Sash (Kevin); his grandchildren, Tyler Root, Levi Root, Kelsey Brandt (Quyntin), Marisa Herman (Aaron), Payton Douglass (Daycen), Olivia Sash and Rylee Sash; and his pet Annie II.
