He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Glenn Johnson and Jeanne Johnson (Andersen); his wife Vera Friedman; his sons, Brent (Amy Mohr) of Cedar Falls and Christopher (Natalie) of Loveland, OH; his grandchildren, Fiona, Arthur, Elijah, Eleanor, Grant and Daphne; his sisters, Angela Todisco (Joseph) of Syracuse, NY and Debby Shoemaker (Bradley) of Fair Grove, MO.; and his sisters-in-law, Doris Eike (James) and Millie Wendt (Ronald).

Memorials may be made to St. Patrick Church, Western Home Foundation or the Parkinson's Association.
