He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Keffeler and Opal Keffeler (Kohls); and his siblings, Charles Beckman and Marilyn Lyons. He is survived by: his sisters, Barbara Davidson (Dennis) of Little Canada, MN, Meg Walker (Bruce) of Vinton, Lynn Keffeler (Kevin Schwendinger) of Bellevue and Sarah Keffeler-Gibson of Dyersville; and his nieces, Ann Miller (Luke), Olivia Schwendinger (Lee Ceriers), Caitlin Gibson and Jordyn Gibson.
