He was predeceased by: his parents, Elden Grapp and Edith Fenner Grapp; his wife Lynda Mikkelsen; his children-in-law, Jo Ellen Grapp and Ricky Kendall; and his siblings, Donald, Lyle, Gerald, Robert, Warren, Ethel Barth, Alice Lancaster, Vearl Gilliland, Viola Fairbanks, Rose "Posy" Sells, Geraldine Hansen and Betty Fisher.
He is survived by: his former wife Sandi Wilson; his children, Steve (Diane) of Cedar Falls, Stewart of Cedar Falls, Scott (Barb) of Waterloo, Darren (Shelli) of New Hartford, Doug Rose (Lisa) of Mansfield, TX, Derrek of Waterloo, Stacy Weinke of Waterloo, Angie Kendall of Oak Ridge, TN and Lisa Orsborn of Cedar Falls; and his sisters, Marjorie Marchal of Parkersburg and Darlene Herzog of Cedar Falls. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.
