He was predeceased by: his mother Petra (Spangberg); his son Matthew E. Sund; and his siblings, Thelma Myhre, Gladys Erickson, Anna Irmen, Glen, Harold, Erling and Rolf Sund.
He is survived by: his wife Karen; his children, David Sund (Penny) of Cedar Falls and Diane Sullivan (Mark) of Ely; and his grandchildren, Joshua Sund (Sierra Brooke), Jacob Sund, Jessica Sund, Caitlin Arnburg (Tyler), Hailey Sullivan (Dirk Clark) and Grant Sullivan.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
