He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Winfred Starr and Gladys Marie Starr (Snyder); and his siblings, Walt, George and Mary Lou Thompsen.
He is survived by: his wife Vesta Ann Pitsenbarger; his children, Deborah Condra (Bob) of Cedar Falls, Iowa, James Starr (Jenelle) of Raleigh, NC and Mary Starr (Mike Llewellyn) of Lee's Summit, MO.; his grandchildren, Laurie Condra (Lucien Carter), Karen Yokem (Cody Clark), Austin Gamble and Colton Gamble; and his great grandchildren, Jonah and Mackenzie Yokem.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 30th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Richardson Funeral Service (615 Main St, Cedar Falls, IA 50613). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 1st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church (718 Clay St, Cedar Falls, IA 50613).
Memorials may be directed to the family to be designated at a later date.
