He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Verly and Ruby Verly (Dirks); and his siblings, Diane Jondle and Gary. He is survived by: his wife Parma Frances Rohner of Cedar Falls; his children, Timothy Verly of Cedar Falls and Jillian Spence (Dan); his grandsons, Gavin and Caleb of Sharon, MA; and his brother John Verly (Debbie) of Marco Island, FL..
