He was predeceased by: his parents, Carrol Colby and Miriam Colby (Pitzen); his daughter Karen Colby; and his sister Connie Courtney. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Kinzler of Cedar Falls; his children, Steve Colby of Loveland, CO and Kathy Bigelow (Mark) of Covina, CA; and his grandchildren, Eric Colby of Cedar Rapids, Jamie Colby-Broghammer (John) of Cedar Rapids, Dan White (Monica) of Denver, Jason Elliott of Covina, CA, Karlee Colby, Ayden, Owen and Madelyn White.
