She was predeceased by: her parents, Eli Uhlenhopp and Thelma Uhlenhopp (DeVore); her husband Melvin Kubicek; her daughter Cynthia Lou Kubicek; her grandson Wesley Crawford; her sister Eileen Wust; and her brother-in-law Raymond Wust.
She is survived by: her children, Marieta Gissel (Gary) of Independence, Pamela Avaux (Mark) of Urbandale, Adele Heilskov (Scott) of Latimer, Tricia Kubicek and David Kubicek (Dawn) of Berthoud, Colorado; and her siblings, Galvin Uhlenhopp (Mary Jeanne) of Kasson, Darwin Uhlenhopp (April) of Clarksville, Wendell Uhlenhopp (Myrna) of Clarksville and Judy Adelmund (Alvie).
Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home (218 2nd St SE, Waverly, IA 50677). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Denver Public Library, Denver, Iowa.
