He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Erickson and Wilda Erickson (Aitken); and his sister Carma Johnson. He is survived by: his close friend Mary Lou Kinard of Council Bluffs, Iowa; his siblings, Barry Erickson (Marjorie) of Castana and Sheryl Patten (Michael) of Spencer, Iowa; his brother-in-law Virgil Johnson of Denison, Iowa; his niece Ericka Erickson of Sioux Falls; and his nephews, Chad Johnson (Kristi) of Crescent, Brent Johnson (Andrea) of Deloit, Darin Johnson of Denison, Eric Johnson (Samantha) of Fort Dodge, Aaron Erickson (Erin) of Onawa, Brandon Patten (Corrie) of Ames and Devin Patten (Kelley) of Spencer, Iowa. He is also survived by ten great nieces/nephews, as well as other relatives, and friends.
As always, Bernie was thinking of others and gave the gift of tissue donation with the Iowa Donor Network.
