He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Takes and Sybil K. Takes (Davis); his grandson Jason Stephenson; and his daughter-in-law Chris Takes. He is survived by: his wife Rita Takes of Cascade, IA; his children, Cliff Takes (Kathy) of Anamosa, IA, Diane Stephenson (Don) of Cedar Rapids, IA and Steve Takes of Mount Vernon, IA; his grandchildren, Chelsea, Brittany, Robbie and Shae; and his great grandchildren, Braylen and Emma.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that memorials be made to the Cascade Historical Society in memory of Robert P. Takes.
