We are sad to announce that on November 13, 2020, at the age of 88, Nicholas Wolfe of Cascade, Iowa, born in Worthington, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas and Apollonia Wolfe Sr. (Sauser); his siblings, Edgar "Ted" Wolfe (Donna), Richard Wolfe, Ernest Wolfe, Harold Wolfe, Evelyn Graff (Jim), Kathleen "Kay" Hess (Ambrose) and Violet Leytem (Donald); his parents-in-law, Silverius and Irene Leyendecker; and his stepfather-in-law Francis Till.
He is survived by: his wife Rose Wolfe of Cascade, IA; his children, Joseph M. Wolfe and V. A. (Diane Welter) of Irondale, AL; his grandsons, Dan Welter (Lauren), Tom Welter (Andrea) and Craig Welter (Mandi); his brother Robert Wolfe (Pat) of Dubuque, IA; his siblings-in-law, Steve Leyendecker (Christa) of Mt. Prospect, IL, Rick Leyendecker (Karla Cigrand) of Iowa City, IA, Marge Gassmann of Asbury, IA, Jean Polfer (Richard) of Peosta, IA, Linda Burger (David) of Worthington, Iowa, Judy Lammers of Dyersville, IA, Mary Leyendecker of Hazel Park, MI, Kathy Hayes (Patrick) of Milwaukie, OR., LeRoy Gassmann and Jerome "Jerry" Lammers; and his nephew Jeffrey Lammers. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
