It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nancy Lou Rummens of Cascade, Iowa, born in Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on August 15, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, J. Virgil Seger and Sidney Seger (Downey); her parents-in-law, Elwood and Alice Rummens; her sons, Calvin, Alan and Noel Rummens; her son-in-law Mike Day; and her parents-in-law, Jon Peterson, Charles "Chuck" Behr, Burl Rummens and Elaine Pizner.
She is survived by: her husband Bob; her children, Stephen Rummens (Cheri) of Mansfield, MO, Annelise Day of Independence, Michele Westhoff (Cory) of Petersburg, Steve Haverly (Twila) of Ames and Carole Hughes of St. Louis, MO; her grandchildren, Sarah Rummens, Jess Rummens (Marina Laczkowski), Tyler Rummens (Jennifer), Lauren Barnett (Matt), Nathan Rummens (Linzy), Kyle Rummens (Sophie Mills), Amanda Miller (Todd), Caitlin Stevens (Mark), Erin Day, Seth Day (Kelly), Tia Izzia (Marco), Spencer Westhoff, Elise Westhoff (Christopher Parma), Ethan Westhoff (Galilea Hernandez), Anya Westhoff and Gabrielle Westhoff; her siblings, J. Richard Seger (Marvel) of Mission, TX, Mary Reckard (Charles "Chuck") of Arnolds Park, IA, JoAnn Peterson of Woodbury, MN and Susan Behr of Mason City; her mothers-in-law, Donna Rummens of Moorhead, MN and Leone MacLean (David) of Annadale, MN.; and also Lucy McLennan (J. R. Clark) of Hurley, WI. She is also survived by 18 great grandchildren.
