She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Fangmann and Jeanette Fangmann (Smith); her brothers, Jim Fangman and Larry Fangmann; and her brother-in-law Gary Kelchen.
She is survived by: her husband Carl Kelchen of Cascade; her children, Jacki Noel (Mike) of Dubuque, Bryon Kelchen (Carolyn) of Cascade and Karla Tri (Tony) of Cedar Falls; her grandchildren, Brian Noel, Andrew Kelchen (Beth), Whitley Johll (Jonathan), Tyler Tri and Megan Smith (Andrew); her great grandchildren, Adalyn Noel, Maverick Johll, Memphis Johll, Shelby Kelchen, Walker Smith and Chase Kelchen; her siblings, Tom Fangmann (Linda) of Arizona, Carol Jean Triplett (Jim) of Springfield, MO, Mary Jo Wagner (Doc) of Anamosa, Lee Fangmann of Cascade and Joan Knapp of Dubuque; and her sisters-in-law, Vicki Fangmann of Cascade and Mary Kay Kelchen of Cascade.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Karen's name to Hospice of Dubuque.
