It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet Staner (Cascade, Iowa), born in Monticello, Iowa, who passed away on August 19, 2019, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John "Jack" and Irene Gadient (Takes); her parents-in-law, Wilfred and Martha Staner; her brother Allen Gadient; and her sisters-in-law, Marie Orr (Frank) and Janice Kraus (Victor).
She is survived by: her husband Paul Staner of Cascade; her children, Melvin Staner (Julie) of Cascade, Loras Staner (Connie) of Cascade, Donnie Staner (Kathy) of Cascade, Sharon Smith (Mike) of Eldridge, Margie Hentges (Tony) of Peosta and Linda Nedelcoff (Jon) of Oregan, WI; her sisters, Lavonne Strang (John) of Cascade and Sharon Aitchison (Gary) of Cascade; her sister-in-law Dorothy Aschtgen of Cascade, IA; and her brother Joe Staner (Rosie) of Cascade, IA.. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to Above and Beyond Hospice in Monticello or to Divine Word Seminary in Epworth, Iowa in lieu of flowers.
