It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evadeen Strang (Cascade, Iowa), who passed away on October 4, 2018, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Horsfield and Grace Horsfield; her son Dale C. Meier; her siblings, Mae Becker, Elenor Urbain and Billy Horsfield; and her brother-in-law Vernon Becker.
She is survived by: her spouses, Edward N. Meier and Alan Strang of Cascade, IA; her children, John "Jack" Meier (Marylou) of Thayer, MO, Alan "Bounce" Meier (Lou Ann) of Bellevue, IA, Joseph Meier (Karen) of Cascade, IA, Terry Meier (Dawn) of New Hampton, Kevin Meier (Rhonda), Mark Meier (Lorrie), Carol Recker (Steve "Herman") of Bernard, IA and William "Bill" Meier (Andrea) of Peosta, IA; her stepchildren, Terry Strang of Liscomb, IA, Tim Strang (Laura) of Madison, WI, Dave Strang (Heidi) of South Carolina and Dan Strang (Rhonda) of Madison, WI; her siblings, Lolly Kurt of Cascade, IA, JoAnn Horsfield of Epworth, IA and Daniel "Magoo"; and her brother-in-law Clarence Urbain. She is also survived by 29 grandchildren and 28 and soon to be 29 great grandchildren.
