He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Lindauer and Stella Lindauer (Kintzle); his grandson Joseph Lindauer; his siblings, Ed Lindauer (Marie), Bob Lindauer, Jane Lindauer and Helen Sherman; and his brothers-in-law, Jim Wolf and Gil Green.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen Lindauer of Cascade, IA; his children, Marty Lindauer (Sara) of Monticello, IA, Phil Lindauer of Cedar Rapids, IA, David Lindauer (Kimberly) of Fairfax, IA, Ted Lindauer (Jennifer) of Bettendorf, IA, Tom Lindauer (Holly) of Vinton, IA, Sue Lindauer and Sara Lindauer of Madison, WI; his siblings, Isabel Lindauer of Dubuque, IA, Alice Wolf of Dubuque, IA and Mary Green of Cascade, IA; and his siblings-in-law, Helen "Blondi" Lindauer of Cascade, IA and Roger Sherman of East Dubuque, IL.. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.
A Donald Lindauer memorial fund has been established in lieu of flowers.
