He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Pierce and Ruth Pierce (Ball); his stepson Thomas Topping; and his siblings-in-law, Ron Egger, Carl Gudenkauf, Carl Merfeld, Maynard Lewis, Mary Gudenkauf, Peggy Merfeld and JoAnn Egger.
He is survived by: his siblings, Chancy Pierce (Roberta) of Montana and Mary Heim (Herb) of Dyersville, IA; his stepsons, Donnie Topping (Rosie) of Onslow, IA and Denny Topping (Rose) of Dubuque, IA; his daughter-in-law Joanie Topping of Cascade, IA; and his siblings-in-law, Kenny Lewis, Terry Lewis (Linda) and Donna Koob (Steve) of Monticello, IA.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; and 30 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren.
