He was predeceased by : his parents, Lynn Sowers and Joella Sowers (Alston). He is survived by : his wife Sandi Sowers of Carson; his children, Jeff Sowers (Rhonda) of Carson and Justine Crouse (Andrew) of Hastings, IA; his grandchildren, Aspen, Mason and Caitlyn Crouse; and his sister Vickie McDaniel (Don) of Council Bluffs. He is also survived by other relatives; and many special friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 19th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Carson Community Center (316 S Commercial St, Carson, IA 51525). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, June 19th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
