It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Fender (Carson, Iowa), who passed away on July 24, 2019, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Forest Fender and Alice Fender (Ford); his son-in-law Miko Butler; and his brothers, Stanley (Mabyn), Edwin "Eddie" (Marilyn) and Darell (Diana).

He is survived by: his wife Sharon Fender of Manilla; and his children, Scott Fender (Debbie) of Manilla, Shellie Butler (late Miko) of Carroll, Lori Smith (Mark Turner) of Oakland and Sonya Gardner (Jason) of Oakland. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 15 great- grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
