Viola Berning Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 15, 2020, at the age of 87, Viola Berning of Carroll, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Genevieve Schechinger (Wieland); her husband Larry; her parent Vitus Schechinger; her brothers, Earl Schechinger and Don Schechinger; and also, W. M. and Anna Berning.
She is survived by: her uncle Francis; her children, Denise, Dan, David Berning, Rick Berning and Mark Berning; her grandsons, Joseph, Jacob, Sam and Andy; her siblings, Marvel Morales (Schechinger) and Carl Schechinger; her sister-in-law Betty Schechinger; her close friends, Jerry Fleshner and Lynn Humphrey; and also, Benjamin (Elijah), Denise Kramoltz (Dan Berning), Danielle, Dietrich, Agnes Tigges, Mary Ann Janning, Betty Berning and Dorothea Berning.
Those attending the Funeral Mass are required to following social distancing guidelines and face coverings are required.
In lieu of flowers memorials can mailed to Sharp Funeral Home, 226 W. 8th St. Carroll, IA 51401 and will be directed to Kuemper Catholic Schools and St. Anthony Foundation.
