He was predeceased by: his parents, Jackson Watson and Carole Watson (Stone); his former wife Vicki Somers; his granddaughter Mackenzie Lown; his siblings, Lori Langen and Daniel Watson; and his niece Shaina Watson.

He is survived by: his wife Linda Watson; his children, Kelly Smith (Jake) of Amana, IA and Chad Watson of Green Mountain, IA; his grandchildren, Presley Watson, Parker Smith and AJ Smith; his brother Michael "Mike" Watson; and his former wife Vicki Watson.
