She was predeceased by: her parents, Ted Langel and Bonnie Langel; her granddaughters, Sara Anderson (Jeff) and Julie Bittner (John); her brother Bobby; her parents-in-law, Vic Sr. and Mary Tomka; her brother-in-law Jim Tomka; and her niece Elizabeth Tomka.
She is survived by: her husband Victor J. Tomka; her sons, Joe Tomka (Kelly) and Mike Tomka (Angela); her siblings, Ron Langel (Linda), Pat Langel, Donna Langel, Joey Langel, Carol Jean Seddon, Diane Rafferty, Kathy Schechinger (Dale) and Laurie Mikkelsen (Mark); and her parents-in-law, Barb Phillipe (Todd), Ed Tomka (Joni), Teresa Adams-Tomka, Carole Tomka, Cathy Malone and Mary Ann Kemper (John). She is also survived by husband, loving children and grandchildren and selfless siblings and friends.
The family requests donations in lieu of flowers, made c/o Shirley Tomka to Sharp Funeral Home, 226 W. 8th St. Carroll, IA 51401. The donations will be used to help families with loved ones battling cancer.
