He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Claude McDonald and Pearl McDonald; his wife Harriet C. Hacker; his daughters, Kathy Pitt (Bill) of Knoxville, Carol Whitehill, Diane Humphrey (Roger) of Waukee and Becky McConnell (Rick) of Honolulu; his son-in-law Ken Kruse; and his grandson Kim Kruse. He was also cherished by three grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
