We are sad to announce that on June 28, 2021, at the age of 89, Phyllis Steffen of Carroll, Iowa, born in Halbur, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Drees and Leona Drees (Reiman); her husband Leo Steffen; her parents-in-law, Bernard and Corsini Steffen; and her siblings, Pearl Brown, Richard Drees and Eileen.
She is survived by: her children, Trent Steffen (Nancy) of North Carolina, Deacon Scott Steffen (Kathy) of Ames, Raynee Sparks (Tony) of Johnston and Janelle White (Jack) of Michigan; her grandchildren, Brooke, Gavin, Christian Steffen (Claire), Brittany Walker (Trey), Thomas (Kelsey), Brad (Clare), Ann, Sarah, Mark Steffen, Abbey Rock (Kirby), Mitchell Sparks (Katie), Tyler (Lauren), Karissa and Eric White; her great grandchildren, Peter, Francis, Thomas Becket, Lucy, Gianna Steffen, Jackson, Cecilia Rock, Andrew, Anna, Michael Sparks and Magnolia Walker; her siblings, Lloyd Drees (Mercedes) and Diane Venteicher (Ron); and her brother-in-law Ken Steffen.
Friends may call at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll from 4-6 p.m. on Friday, July 2 with the Rosary at 4 p.m. and a Christian Wake Service at 6:00 p.m.
Memorials in lieu of flowers may be given to St. Anthony Regional Hospital Auxiliary, the Salesian Missionaries (orphanage in Bolivia that granddaughter Ann is a Missionary and trying to get computers for), or Catholic Radio.
