He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Schechinger and Adelaide Schechinger (Kasperbauer); his parents-in-law, LeRoy Hunting and Helen Drummond (George); and his siblings, Hildegard Pendergras (Al), Helen Heiman (Jack), Betty Hoehl, JoAnn Reiman, Marian Neurenberg, Leonard Schechinger (Phyllis), William Schechinger and Stanley.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo Hunting of Carroll; his children, Beth Beecham (Dave) of Omaha, NE and Paul J. "P. J."; his grandchildren, Torrie, Ashlan, Gabe, Madison, Jacob and Cameryn; and his brother-in-law George Drummond (Susan) of Montana.
Those in attendance at Sarge's services are asked to abide by Covid – 19 social distancing guidelines and face coverings are recommended at the funeral home and required at the church.
