He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Toft and Esther Toft of Exira, IA; his parents-in-law, Maurice and Esther Ostrus; his brother Kenneth; his sister-in-law Lola Toft; his niece Barbara; his brother Donald; and his sister-in-law Donna Lou Toft.
He is survived by: his former wife Sharon Ostrus; his sons, Chris (Ann Toft) and Erik (Laurie Toft); his wife Shari Toft of Carroll, IA; his granddaughters, Lexi Toft Kaalberg (Jason) of Madison, WI, Kati Toft of Madison, WI and Dayna Toft of Arcadia, IA; his great grandchild Claire Kaalberg of Madison, WI; and his siblings-in-law, LeRoy and Barb Ostrus of Erie, CO. He is also survived by one niece and seven nephews, and other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers and food, the family suggests memorials be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church and may be left with the funeral home or at the church.
