She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Nissen and Lilly Nissen (Petersen); her husband Leonard Martens; her parents-in-law, Harry and Sophie Martens; her siblings, Vivaine Thede (Vernon) and Wailes Nissen (Marie); her grandson Scott Brotherson; and her great grandchild Jason Hoffmann.
She is survived by: her daughters, Carolyn Johnson of Carroll and Donna Brotherson (Richard) of Breda; her grandchildren, Karen Hoffmann (John) of Dunlap, IA, Ron Johnson (Angie) of Carroll and Travis Brotherson (Kristi) of Holstein, IA; her great grandchildren, Justin, Kylie, Tyler, Samantha and Jacob; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Devin (Ashley) and Derek (Liz); and her great great grandchildren, Maya, Addison and Rory. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
