He is survived by: his former wife Laura James; his children, Mike Halbur (Mandy) of Dubuque, Holly Schaefer of Carroll and Amanda Halbur (Adam Wempe) of Carroll; his grandchildren, Kenedy, Shelby, Destiny, Jaxon, Jase, Bella and Anna; his father Vernice "Windy" Halbur of Carroll; and his siblings, Paula Smith of Boone, Vicki Halbur of Omaha and Gary Halbur (Becky) of Omaha. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and other extended family.
