She was predeceased by: her parents, John Shoemaker and Anna Shoemaker; her parent-in-law Maurice; her siblings, Arlene Lamaak, Leona Hadden and Paul Shoemaker; and her husband Maury.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Morrissey of Shawnee, KS, Michelle Nurse of Des Moines, Jim Nurse of Carroll, Dan Nurse (Ann) of Kansas City, MO, Tom Nurse of Lanesboro, Ken Nurse (Lori) of Advance, NC, Steve Nurse (Lori) of Cedar Falls, IA and Nick Nurse (Roberta) of Toronto, Canada; her siblings, Teresa Fitzsimmons of Des Moines and Johnny Shoemaker (Beth) of Churdan; and also, Jim Nurse, Dan Nurse, Tom Nurse, Ken Nurse, Steve Nurse and Nick Nurse. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
