Lyle Schleisman Obituary

We are sad to announce that on May 6, 2023, at the age of 89, Lyle Schleisman of Carroll, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Lillian Kanne; his sons, Doug Schleisman and Jeff Schleisman; his great grandchild Harper Gemberling; his grandson-in-law Todd Irwin; his brother Lowell Schleisman; and his siblings-in-law, Joan H. Schleisman of Marshalltown and Glen Bernholtz.

He is survived by: his children, Deb Gemberling (Jim) of Sloan, Cindy Barkmeier (Bill) of Lake City, Yvonne Doty (Rob Burley) of Lake City, Les Schleisman (Deb) of Lake City and Brad Schleisman (Missy) of Lidderdale; his siblings, Dennis Schleisman (Norma) of Carroll, Ted Schleisman (Jean) and June Bernholtz of Carroll; and his sister-in-law Marie Wernimont of Carroll. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and extended relatives.
