It is with great sadness that we announce the death of LoAnna Mae Meiers of Carroll, Iowa, born in Dunlap, Iowa, who passed away on January 8, 2023, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lowell Herbert and Wilma Jane Kline (TenEyck); and her siblings, Peggy Block and Randy Shumate. She is survived by: her former husband Robert Thul; her husband Don Meiers of Carroll; her children, Candrice "Candi" Thul (Lauren Preston) of Asheville, NC and Troy Thul (Anna) of Rochester, MN; her grandchildren, Abigail, Amelia and Josef; her stepdaughter Sonia Bell (Keith) of Conyers, GA; her stepgrandchildren, Aiden, Sophia and Brooklyn; her stepchild Morgan Keck (Noah) of Solon, IA; her stepgrandchildren, Cash and Ace; her stepchild Whitney Cavanaugh (Brandon) of Grimes, IA; her stepgrandchildren, Sloan and Paige; her siblings, Ronald Kline (Joann) of Vinton, VA, Audrey Gorham of Dunlap, Vickie Bubke (Roger) of Carroll, Kathy Quandt (Richard) of Schleswig, Daniel Kline of Sutherland, IA, Donald Kline (Toni) of Le Mars, Bonnie Schraeder (Lynn) of Woodbine and Rick Shumate (Michelle) of Sioux Falls, SD; and her siblings-in-law, Barbara Berndt (Chuck) of Aurora, MO, Carol Cerny (Dean) of Fairbury, NE, James Meiers (Karen) of Lubbock, TX and David Meiers (Sandy) of Carroll. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
