It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Larry Behrens of Carroll, Iowa, who passed away on January 25, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cyril Behrens and Helen Behrens (Reiman); his brothers-in-law, Clint Schutt and Al Schenkelberg; his daughter-in-law Karen Behrens; and also, Irish and Jean Schenkelberg.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Behrens; his children, Lauri Behrens, Marty Behrens, Cheryl Johnson (Denny), Vicki Douglass and Russell Behrens; his grandchildren, Justin Johnson (Megan), Joshua Johnson (Aisha), Breann (Paige Mitchell), Nicole Behrens, Christine (Jordan Rozenboom), Tyler, Kaitlyn and Jacob Douglass; his great grandchildren, Hayden, Landon, Jackson, Blakely, Emma, Colson Johnson, Kenray, Connor Behrens, Noah and Kora Rozenboom; and his siblings, Sandy Schutt and Bob Behrens (Audrey). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the St. John Paul II Parish-Holy Spirit Church (421 Bluff St E, Carroll, IA 51401-3099). A Mass was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Spirit Church – St. John (421 Bluff St E, Carroll, IA 51401-3099).
