He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Mae Heitman; his cousins, Dave and Jim Auen; his children, Stephen Auen of Missoula, MT and Thomas Auen (Beth); his grandchildren, Nick Beiter Jr. (Alicia) of Urbandale, Michael Beiter (Bridget) of Waukee, Jacob, Haley Auen, Josh (Sarah) and Jason Tack (Kristin) of Montana; his great grandchildren, Beckett, Hudson Beiter and Sawyer Tack; his brother Dennis Auen of Carroll; and his siblings-in-law, Pat Larsen of Abilene, TX and Mel Dorpinghaus of Maumelle, AR. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
