It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John James Norgaard of Carroll, Iowa, born in Harlan, Iowa, who passed away on May 8, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Norgaard and Darlene Norgaard (Davis); his parents-in-law, Bill and Lois Farner; and his brothers-in-law, Sam Farner and Earl McCaustland.
He is survived by: his wife Sally Farner of Carroll; his children, Lori Onken of Carroll and Jay Norgaard (Sue) of Carroll; his grandchildren, Katie Kruse (Jered) of Carroll, Lindsey Anderson (Michael) of Clive, Cory Onken of Carroll, Will Norgaard of Grimes, Ben Norgaard of Grimes and Jacob Norgaard of Ankeny; his great grandchildren, Madden, Brayden, Brooks, Jayli and Miller; his sister Norene McCaustland of Monticello; and his parents-in-law, Steve Farner (LaVonne) of Ames, Cy Farner (Sandy) of Sioux Falls, Sara Anderson (Swede) and Tom Farner (Jean) of Carroll. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many good friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the John and Sally Norgaard Charitable Fund which will carry on John's heartfelt tradition of giving.
