He was predeceased by: his father Charles Parkis; his grandparents, Clara, Ed Timmerman, Dick and Dorothy Main; and his niece Chelsey Tuel.

He is survived by: his mother Betty Parkis (Timmerman) of Carroll; and his siblings, Mike Parkis of Dedham, Mary Tuel (Marty) of Carroll, Brian Parkis (Crystal) of Carroll and Chris Parkis (Beth) of Coon Rapids. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
