He is survived by: his children, Chase Werden (Megan), Meredith Onken (Chris) and Madison Werden; his grandchildren, Emmy, Ivy, Indy Onken, Ruby and Peter Werden; his siblings, Toni Hudson, Gary Werden and Jeff Werden (Phyllis); and his nephews, Zach Werden (Katie) and Nate Werden (Kylie).

Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM. A prayer was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Sharp Funeral Home (226 W 8th St, Carroll, IA 51401). A Mass was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Lawrence Church – St. John (1607 N West St, Carroll, IA 51401).
