It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jennie D. Whitten of Carroll, Iowa, who passed away on October 17, 2020, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, David Ritchie and Grace Ritchie (Lamb); her siblings, Lawrence, Frank, George Ritchie, Margaret Ritchie, Edna Palmer and Eva Accola; and her daughter Rosemary Kurth.
She is survived by: her husband Neal Whitten; her children, Barbara McLaughlin of Glidden, Virginia Whitten of Council Bluffs and Leonard Whitten of Carroll; her sister Dorothy Blanchard of Coon Rapids; and her siblings-in-law, Myrna Wolf of Carroll, Joan Whitten of Des Moines and Bob Whitten of Des Moines. She is also survived by four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
Those in attendance at Jennie's visitation and funeral service are asked to abide by Covid-19 social distancing guidelines and facemasks are required at the funeral home.
