He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Savery and Pearl Savery (Baer); his wife Jerrie Nelson; his parents-in-law, Oliver and Bernice Nelson; his siblings, Maxine Gregorson (Dick), Nancy Butler (Harry) and Arthur Savery (Lenora); and his siblings-in-law, La Donna Savery, Mari Savery and Bill Nelson (Marilyn).
He is survived by: his children, Sue Scharfenkamp (Jeff) of Carroll and Jay Savery of Ft. Dodge, IA; his grandchildren, Kate Fisher, Cale Scharfenkamp (Carrie), Eli Scharfenkamp, Samantha Harvey (Jordan), Paige Savery and Cole Savery; his great grandchildren, Luka, Oliver and Nelson; and his brothers, Rich Savery of Pella, IA and George Savery (Donna) of Ft. Dodge, IA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
