She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter B. O'Tool and Barbara L. O'Tool (Schulte); her husband William J. Muhlbauer of Joseph's Church; her great grandchild Logan Muhlbauer; her siblings, Wilmer O'Tool (Rosina), Marvin O'Tool, Ivan O'Tool (Bernice), Elvira Tiefenthaler (Clarence), Marcille Engel (Lawrence) and Rose Marie McAlister (Jimmie); her father-in-law Charles Muhlbauer (Mary Stoberl); and her in-laws, Charles Muhlbauer (Ann), Henry Muhlbauer (Ruby), Sophia Kuhse (Wayne), Joe Muhlbauer (Erna), Anthony Muhlbauer (Laura), Marie Wendl (Victor), Louis Muhlbauer and Roseanne Nulle (Wes).
She is survived by: her children, Allen Muhlbauer (Paula) of Manning, Lois McCarty (Robert) of Petersen, James Muhlbauer (Jerri) of Manning, Leon Muhlbauer (Denise) of Glidden, Dale Muhlbauer (Gail) of Pine Haven, WY, Neil Muhlbauer (Anne) of Manning and Chris Muhlbauer (Stacey Schrock) of Ankeny; and her sister-in-law Phyllis Muhlbauer of Denison. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Church - Manning (203 Sue St, Manning, IA 51455). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at the Sacred Heart Cemetery (610 N East St, Manning, IA 51455).
She also gave her time to the Manning Hospital Auxiliary, the Manning Heritage Foundation, and volunteered with the "Speak Up" program at IKM Manning School.
