He was predeceased by: his brother-in-law Rev. David Loeschen; his parents, Wilbur "Web" and Helen Wolterman (Becker); his parents-in-law, Robert and RoseMary Stangl; his siblings, Margaret Wolterman and James Wolterman; and his nephews, Jerry Wolterman and Chris Wolterman.

He is survived by: his children, Michael Wolterman of Carroll and Maria Wolterman of Sioux City, IA; his nephews, Brian Wolterman of Bert Madden, IV and Sean Culligan; his wife Lisa Stangl of Carroll; his grandchildren, Sophia, Amyra, Jaxon and Letty; and his siblings, Dale Wolterman (Tina) of Carroll, John Wolterman of Carroll, Larry Wolterman (Marilou) of North Pole, AK, Mike Wolterman (Bonnie) of Sioux City, Debra Loeschen (David) of Denison, Cindi Cregen (Kevin) of Creston, Pat Madden (Bert) of Carroll and Linda Culligan of Carroll. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended relatives.

Those in attendance of the services for Gary are required to wear a face mask and abide by all current COVID-19 restrictions.
