Gary Brown Obituary

We are sad to announce that on August 9, 2020, at the age of 76, Gary Brown of Carroll, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Thomas and Annie Pearl Brown (Brown); his parents-in-law, Anthony and Lillian Majerus; his brother Charles Brown; his children, Tamara Brown and Troy Brown; and his siblings-in-law, Linda Kaufman, Alvin Eshelman, Bill Peterson and John Howard.

He is survived by: his wife Donna Majerus of Carroll; his children, Todd Brown (Debbie) of Lebanon, Indiana and Tiffany Winey (Skip) of Perry, Iowa; his daughter-in-law Michelle Brown of Le Mars, Iowa; his grandchildren, Trent Brown (Mariah) of LeMars, Iowa, Megan Taph (Nicholas) of McCook Lake, Miranda DeLarm (Josh) of Boone, Madilyn Brown (Logan) of Moville, Meredith Brown of LeMars, Bethany McKinsey (Matt) of Lebanon, Andrew of Lebanon, Hannah of Lebanon, Adam Brown of Lebanon, Caleb, Ethan, Dylan, Garett and Isaac Winey of Perry, Iowa; his great grandchildren, Maxwell, Alice, Melody, Norah, Sorin, Emmet, MaKena, Leo and Evelyn; and his siblings, Frances Bohannon (Gilbert) of Harrisville, Jack (Shirley) and Judy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Those in attendance at Gary's services are asked to abide by Covid-19 social distancing guidelines, and masks are recommended.

Gladys Schmidt wrote a sympathy message

“Donna: So sorry to hear of Gary's passing. I had no idea he was even ill. Just when you were enjoying his retirement and freedom to travel. He was always so pleasant when he came to the H&R Block tax office and I enjoyed working with the 2 of you. When he was working at HyVee he always managed to greet me if he saw me. What a sincere and pleasant man. My sympathy to you for your loss. Gladys Schmidt”
